The release date for The Ethos is Fall of 2010, which is great because I will be assigned an editor to begin that rigorous step of revising my manuscript.
What is the genre of The Ethos? It is a Suspense novel with strong doses of romantic and fantastical elements, written for the upper young adult audience.
What's more, WiDo's marketing team has kick-started my writing career by assigning me a pen name! From this time hence, I shall be known as M. Gray. They suggested I use it because it is gender neutral and 'looks more intriguing than Mary Gray.' At first I lamented that my real name wouldn't be on the cover of the book, and old acquaintances wouldn't know me. But now I'm excited. I have a pen name! I can get used to that!
I am so excited for you!! I can't wait to read it.

ReplyDeleteWiDo just signed with an author named Marilyn Brown, maybe her pen name should be M.Brown lol
ReplyDeleteIs this the same Marilyn Brown who's published w/ Cedar Fort in the past?
ReplyDeleteYes, the very same. I get to be her editor and I"m thrilled to work with an author of her caliber. She's a big fan of WiDo Publishing ever since the BYU Pub Fair.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! Nothing like getting that contract, is there?
